It was fairly priced. All in all everything was excellent, had a very nice stay for business traveler. The staff were experienced, overall. The restaurant was very nice for breakfast here, I had appetising dishes. The location of the hotel was good - within a close distance from Rockefeller Center.

central hub for weekend walks to nyc treasures
I enjoyed my stay, where the spacious rooms were very quiet and spotlessly clean, making it easy to unwind after my daily explorations, and the superb midtown location allowed me to easily stroll to Times Square and the New York Public Library within just a few minutes.

The bed and location are the best thing In Sofitel, beside the good service from all the staff
They used to have a drug store, now I did not see one

The comfortable bed ensures a good sleep.
You have to pay$10 per day for Wi_fi in your room. This seems a bit mean consdiering the cost of the hotel. Also no tea making facilites, but we requested them and were provided, although supplies at a charge!

We stayed for two nights the last weekend of January. We loved this hotel. It was very close to everything we wanted to do, and we didn't have a complaint from the time we hit the check-in until the time we checked out. I personally don't drink coffee, but my wife does and she missed having a coffee maker in the room, but with several great breakfast places so close, it wasn't really an issue. We would return to this hotel in a heartbeat. We recently stayed the the Omni Hotel in Chicago, and while we were very happy there, we stayed on the 6th floor facing Michigan Ave and it was very noisy. At the Sofitel in nyc we couldn't help but remark how quiet and cocoon like our room was.
I don't think this is complaint about the Sofitel per say, but there is an exorbitant amount of tax on the room..I Think ours came to $40 per night.

its location is good and its almost next door to a good breakfast dinner.
Sound proofing of the rooms we stayed on 21st floor was not good. We were woken up by loud music playing at 3am in the morning from next room. We were also disturbed by doors banging every time the door is shut from surrounding rooms.

We enjoyed an amazing Broadway show and relaxed in a calm block with cozy private clubs nearby. The room was spacious and well-equipped with a tv and great bath products. Just a heads-up, though, the bar hours could be better for late-night drinks!
